Elon Musk is literally taking dogecoin to the moon in a SpaceX Falcon rocket

According to a press release, Geometric Energy Corporation (GEC) has made history by paying Elon Musk’s space company to launch its lunar payload in meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin. Geometric Energy Corporation (GEC) announced that in Q1 2022 a SpaceX Falcon rocket will carry Dogecoin to the literal moon via a commemorative “40kg cubesat” payload—paid for in DOGE itself.

SpaceX is set to send DOGE-1 to the Moon in 2022.

While many were disappointed by Elon Musk’s SNL event where he joked about dogecoin and called it a hustle that caused a massive price crash bringing DOGE down to 40% from its current trading price and wiping off nearly $20 Billion from the market.

On Apr. 1, Musk tweeted about putting a literal Dogecoin on the literal Moon, but many thought that it was an April Fools’ joke. As it turns out, the billionaire wasn’t joking.

This news came as an excitement to a lot of people specially the the doge fans (aka doge army), and DOGE has jumped over 10 percent on the Binance exchange following the SpaceX announcement however the DOGE prices have not picked yet. As of writing the the current traded price of DOGE coin is $0.5299 from its earlier all time high of $0.7376 before the SNL event.
