Coinbase, a NASDAQ listed world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange that processes more than $10 billion in transactions daily on its platform has added google chrome extension support for its native Coinbase wallet. This allows Coinbase users to connect to decentralized applications to manage their crypto funds directly from their desktop.

Crypto wallets are digital wallets that store your crypto assets. Crypto wallets store your private keys to different cryptocurrencies, keeping your crypto assets safe and accessible only to you. It also allows you to send, receive, and spend cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

More than a million Coinbase Wallet users regularly use Dapps like Uniswap and Compound. However, accessing these applications on the desktop is currently a tedious process that requires users to scan a QR code using their mobile phone each time they want to connect to a Dapp.

“Starting today, we’re making it much simpler to access and use these Dapps on desktop with the Coinbase Wallet extension. The new extension allows for instant access to Dapps on desktop — after linking your Wallet account to the extension once, you are free to browse all Dapps with one click.”

This also includes accessing thousands of cryptocurrencies, trading on decentralized exchanges (DEXes), earning interest, and collecting NFTs. All the activities conducted on the desktop via the Wallet extension will also stay in sync with the Coinbase Wallet mobile app.
