The high-end fashion brand ‘Gucci‘ has announced the new ongoing experiment with Web3.0 and its crypto payment services. The Italy-based luxury fashion brand Gucci will now accept crypto as a form of payment in its stores. Currently, the pilot will launch in some selected stores of North America.
The foremost locations to accept the strategic exploration are Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles, Wooster Street in New York, Phipps Plaza in Atlanta, Miami Design District, and The Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas. The new plan will going to roll out from this summer throughout the selected locations.

According to Vogue Business, the customers can use their crypto wallets to scan the store’s QR code for payment completion. Also, Gucci has planned to accept a variety of digital assets in the form of cryptocurrencies. It includes Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Shiba Inu.
Gucci has placed a specialized and specific team dedicated to Web3.0 projects for future initiatives. The team is responsible for acknowledging the changing dimensions of the new internet in metaverse, NFTs and other digital assets arena. Furthermore, Gucci is also on Roblox game which attracted 19 million visitors on its virtual fashion show held last year on ‘Gucci Garden’.
Along with Gucci, the queue is increasing with some of the iconic international brands in apparels. Brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Adidas, Nike, Vans, and Balenciaga are luxury brands who want to expand their reach in the Web3.0 industry. Moreover, these brands have just entered crypto world whereas they are also competing hard with the crypto-native fashion brands such as Digitalax, DressX, Red DAO, and many others.
