Yuga Labs is about to launch its metaverse project ‘Otherside’ in the month of April. A new trailer has been released by the Bored Ape creators Yuga Labs on their Twitter handle. The post says ‘See you on the Otherside in April. Powered by ApeCoin’.
The short video depicts a BAYC Ape fishing in a stretch of water where it finds a bottle labeled ‘DRINK ME’. The Ape finds himself with an unknown flying creature and abducts him for a flying journey. The video shows the collaboration with other NFT collections such as Cool Cats, World of Women, CryptoPunks, Meebits, Nouns, and Mutant Apes.
Moreover, the entire metaverse community is excited about the new move by BAYC, the Ape coin is also playing strongly in the market. It is expected that the ‘Otherside’ will be operable with the APE token.
Last week, BAYC launched APE coin through its franchised decentralized autonomous organization ‘ApeCoin DAO’. The token can be claimed by BAYC and MAYC community members. However, BAYC and MAYC are two centralized projects, ApeCoin DAO is completely different from these communities.
Further, the ApeCoin DAO’s Board consists of some of the popular crypto organizations like Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and FTX’s Army Wu. The selection of members depends on how many APE tokens they have. Moreover, the serving tenure would be one year. As for now, both the Reddit and FTX are for six months duration.
Besides, The Sandbox developer Animoca Brands tweeted about their entry into the BAYC universe. Also, Animoca Brands would adopt ApeCoin for their secret project. Currently, the metaverse company has not revealed their secret project but it seems they have started with the registration process already. Certainly, the Animoca is in collaboration with BoredApe Yacht Club for their upcoming project.
