All you need to know about the Bored Ape Yacht NFT collection

If you’re reading this, then you probably want to know more about Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). Bored Ape Yacht Club was launched by an alliance of people going by pseudonymous names Gargamel, Gordon Goner, Emperor Tomato Ketchup, and No Sass. Developed by Yuga Labs, the BAYC has a collection of 10,000 bored apes pictures minted as NFTs on the Ethereum Blockchain. These profile pictures are different from one another in many arguments such as appearances, accessories, colors, clothes, face sculptures, etc.

Within such a less period, Bored Apes Yacht Club (BAYC) has become one of the most noteworthy brands in the NFT space. These 10,000 apes avatars individually act as a ticket to the BAYC social club and membership which has its benefits. The NFT avatars are keeping the crypto lovers and NFT collectors captivated as of now with their increasing demands and prices.

With the emergence of Bored Apes Yacht Club, many other NFT profile pic collections have come into existence such as World of Women, and Cool Cats. Some of the NFT Collection of these platforms is as expensive as apes. Several collections are likely coming forward to showcase their archives on the NFT selling platform. Moreover, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Bored Ape Chemistry Club, and Bored Ape Kennel Club are the only members of the Bored Apes Yacht Club Family Tree.

Buying BAYC Apes on OpenSea

When Bored Apes Yacht Club uploaded their NFTs for auction on OpenSea last April, it was 0.08 Ether (ETH) each or $190. For starting to buy a BAYC NFT, one must have a minimum of 93 ETH or about $224,000. Firstly, you need a verified wallet with funds on OpenSea. Once you have your crypto wallets merged with the selling platform, you can browse your desired NFT from the vast collections. When you find something you like, you can buy it as directed. There might be a “place bid” option for the high-valued NFTs where the seller wants to sell the already acquired picture.

Please be informed, that you must check the latest bids placed by other buyers to make sure how much money you wish to offer. On OpenSea, the buyers must place a 5% hike from the last bidder. You can checkout then, further to which you will be redirected to your digital wallet for payment in ether coins. The purchased NFT will shortly appear on your profile. Congrats! you just got to own the NFT.

Having a crowded commoditized collectible on the NFT platform surely gives other NFT creators to try out their luck for selling purposes. Similar to BAYC, users can notice other variable NFT communities which include apes but in different forms. Prime Ape Planet (PAP) belonging to Marvel, Disney, and MGM Creations has created 7,979 premium high-quality NFT tokens. They have managed to make a good number in sales of $58 million last week. Likewise, Apocalyptic Apes and Apes in Spaces launched in December last year are doing good around sales by $9 million.

What makes Bored Apes Collection valuable?

The impressionist collection of Bored Apes yacht Club is highly subjective. What makes these articles so costly is a mix of thoughts and is very prejudiced. Robust community, influential celebrity involvement, club membership, organized meeting are a few of the reasons that the ape collection is getting more attention in the market. Moreover, it increases the overall aspirational value of the collectibles in the commercialized market.

Surely, Bored Ape Yacht Club has its ways to keep the NFT owners involved in their best innovational ways. They created “Bore Ape Kennel Club” to promote a dog mimicked NFT on the platform. The owner gets a chance to adopt these dogs NFT and owns an opportunity to showcase them in the market and can even sell/rent in the future. Similarly, in August the BAYC released a ‘digital serum vial’ which upon consuming by the apes could turn them into their mutant counterparts.

These Mutant Apes Yacht Club has gathered a separate fanbase in a short period. When you purchase a bored ape, you also unlock other accessories related to them such as serum vials. There are 17,900 mutant apes’ NFTs listed on OpenSea. Currently, the most loved mutant ape NFT stands around 37 ether (ETH) ($102,051.55) on OpenSea.

Last week, the Yacht club saw a massive serum sale of $22 million given that through serum only you can change to a mutant ape. The average recorded value of the mutant serum was $ 127,000 and the sale is expected to increase in the coming weeks.
